Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and Siddhanth, son of Shakti Kapoor detained by NCB in drugs case on cruise ship
MUMBAI: Bollywood super star Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Sidhanth Kapoor, son of Shakti Kapoor and 8 to 9 others, including two women, were allegedly detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau or NCB from a cruise ship en-route from Mumbai to Goa, a few hours ago. The cruise ship was directed by the law enforcement sleuths back to Mumbai at the Mumbai International cruise terminal near the Ballard Pier jetty. ALSO READ: Aryan Khan doing drugs for last 4 years, was in touch with several peddlers
While passengers on board the cruise ship recognized and identified the celebrity kids, as Aryan Khan (son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan) and Siddhanth Kapoor, son of Shakti Kapoor, there was no official confirmation from the NCB sleuths regarding the identities or names of those detained. Aryan Khan’s good friend is also among the persons detained by the NCB.

The NCB has officially not revealed the identities of the celebrities or celebrity kids and models who were part of the rave party or who were allegedly consuming drugs. The names we have mentioned above are based on feedback from other guests on the cruise ship who recognized the celebs. It is learnt the ship had not yet set sail, when the raid took place. The ship was anchored near port and preparing to leave when NCB officials checked the baggage of passengers and found concealed drugs. The passengers and their luggage was disembarked and checks for any further concealed drugs were carried out.

Another version of the sequence of events, claimed that the cruise ship had set sail and reached high seas when the rave party began and the NCB officials including Zonal director Sameer Wankhede, who had boarded the ship disguised as guests, swung into action. Some passengers were openly consuming banned substances and they were nabbed by the NCB red-handed. Their rooms and cabins were searched for more drugs. After several media reports appeared, Jurgen Bailom, President and CEO of Cordelia Cruises, said that the Narcotics Department found drugs in some passengers’ luggage. “These passengers were off-loaded by Cordelia immediately. He added, “Cordelia apologized to the guest families for the delay, which resulted in the delay of their enjoyment of facilities of all kinds, including stage shows and various kinds of foods, garba dancing in this festive season and other events planned on the ship.”

When NCB officials conducted the raid, the cruise management and staff supported the officials in all possible manners. No staff or crew members were found involved and the ship will be allowed to sail, post adequate checks and confirmation. According to an India Today report, the event was organised by Fashion TV India along with a Delhi-based event company Namas’cray Experience, who had organized the on board entertainment as well as sold tickets for the in-cruise party and entertainment.
A News18 report, did not name the Bollywood superstar but said a Bollywood superstar’s son was among 10 people detained during a drug bust by a team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast on Saturday night. Top sources told News18, the NCB sleuths, who raided Cordelia Cruises-owned “The Empress” cruise ship, after it departed from Mumbai, seized drugs such as cocaine, hashish, charas and MD, which were found on some of the passengers including the superstar actor’s son. Nearly 10 to 12 persons were found in possession of drugs, while some had already started consuming them. They will all be taken off the ship and taken for medical tests, while the ship will be permitted to continue on course. The Mumbai to Goa and back, 2 nights 3 days rave party aboard the cruise ship Cordelia The Empress, was organised by an event management company Namas’cray based in Delhi.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan told NCB officials that he was invited as a guest aboard the cruise ship and did not pay any fees or charges. His mobiles have been confiscated and the NCB officials are probing videos on his mobile phone. Mobile phones of nearly 10 persons who were detained by the NCB have been seized. Three women who had come from Delhi who happen to be daughters of three very prominent businessmen with political links were also detained. They are also being questioned. No arrests have been made so far.

Some emerging news and updates on the raid:
- The boarding point for the guests of the cruise vessel was at Green Gate, SV Road, Fort/Ballard Pier, Mumbai.
- Besides the two sons of actors mentioned above, an actor is also detained, along with several businessmen.
- The entry ticket for the cruise package was about Rs 1,00,000. Model and actress Sagarika Shona Suman who was supposed to join the cruise holiday, but backed out at the last minute said she was offered various packages, starting from Rs 75,000 and going upto Rs 1,50,000.
