Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryaan Khan arrested, booked for drug consumption under NDPS Act

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryaan Khan was arrested in the evening today by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), after he was detailed yesterday evening aboard a cruise ship Cordelia The Empress on suspicion of possessing and consuming drugs.

The NCB had detained Aryan Khan and seven others — Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Arbaaz Merchant. An FIR has been registered in the case.

However the NCB which is obviously going slow on the celebrities who were found either consuming or possessing drugs or both had booked Aryaan Khan and his actor friend Arbaaz Seth Merchantt only for consumption.

Aryan has been arrested under Sections 8 (C), 20 (B), 27 read with 35 of the NDPS Act. He was taken to JJ Hospital in Mumbai for a medical check up and is now back in the NCB office at Ballard Pier. He is likely to be produced in the Special NDPS court before 7 pm today.

He is being represented by senior lawyer Satish Maneshinde who has already reached the NDPS office.
