SRK’s son Aryan Khan gets special VVIP treatment, allowed to spend tonight at NCB office, instead of Arthur Road Jail

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been accorded special, VVIP treatment by a Magistrate’s court in Mumbai.

The celebrity kid and 7 others were remanded to judicial or magistrate custody (MCR) remand, which means he should be sent to the Arthur Road jail as per routine procedure.

Under-trials who are sent to judicial custody have to spend 2-3 days in quarantine where Covid tests are carried out by the jail authorities.

The report takes 2 days and till then the accused are quarantined in a third party place or a separate cell or barrack in the jail premises.

However, Aryaan Khan will not be sent to the Arthur Road Jail but will remain in the NCB custody for tonight, which means he gets to sleep in an AC room, while their bail applications will be heard by the court tomorrow. It is most likely that he will get bail tomorrow and be released forthwith.

Aryan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde requested the court to allow Aryan Khan and others to be kept at the NCB office for tonight.

The court accepted the request. The accused will be kept in the NCB office in judicial custody till tomorrow because the jail would not accept new inmates at this hour without a covid report, his lawyer reasoned while praying for the special favor and VVIP treatment. This reasoning is incorrect as the jail accepts inmates and under-trials at all times, it’s just that they have to manage in a separate barrack.

As a matter of fact, the Arthur Road Jail accepts under-trails even at  or after11 pm, but they are sent to a separate barrack called “after”.

Since the spread of Covid, the under-trials are sent into a quarantine barrack till their Covid tests results are out and are then shifted to regular barracks. It is a clear case of special or VVIP treatment for Aryan Khan and partiality by the court.

Even Shilpa Shetty’s husband and NRI businessman Raj Kundra was not accorded this special treatment and was sent to Arthur Road jail immediately, where he was quarantined in a separate barrack, till his Covid test results were available.
