Aryan Khan case: More arrests expected as peddlers from Siolim, Anjuna, Arpora and Calangute on NCB radar

PANAJI: More arrests are expected in Mumbai and Goa as several “couriers or transporters” and peddlers (sellers or traders) are on the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Peddlers and couriers operating from Calangute, Arpora, Siolim, Anjuna and Nerul are on the NCB radar. Subsequent to the recent bust, the Federal agency has got details and names of hundreds of persons connected with the drug trade both in Goa and Mumbai. Further interrogation is going on and more skeletons are expected to tumble out of the closets of the arrested persons, leading to further seizures and arrests.

NCB sleuths raided the ship on Monday and conducted an inch-by-inch search operation, which could not be done earlier on Sunday as there were nearly 1800 passengers including women on the ship.

Many of the high-profile passengers who had paid huge sums for the cruise trip were getting irritated and angry on Sunday as the entire ship was detained for the crimes of a few people. ALSO READ: Aryan Khan doing drugs for last 4 years, was in touch with several peddlers

The NCB on Sunday had allowed the ship to proceed on its voyage after disembarking 13 persons with their luggage and as soon the ship completed its trip and returned back to Mumbai, the ship was raided and searched with a fine tooth comb.

Several packets of drugs were found concealed on the ship. The NCB has made several more arrests on Monday and even crew on-board the ship are likely to be arrested. ALSO READ: Aryan Khan was negotiating bulk purchase of drugs on WhatsApp

The management and captain of the ship have already been interrogated and it is likely some senior officials in-charge of the ship are likely to be arrested in the coming days.
