MUMBAI: After a Magistrate’s court in Mumbai denied further NCB custody for Aryan Khan and sent him along with 7 others to judicial custody, it also said it will hear Aryan’s bail application tomorrow (Friday) at 11 am.

According to India Today, the magistrate said, “If you are ready to cooperate, then I am ready to sit back and decide bail also right away.”

While Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said the bail application should be heard immediately, ASG Anil Singh appearing for the Narcotics Control Bureau, opposed the same and said the bail applications should be heard by a special court under NDPS.

“The bail applications are not maintainable in this court, and only the NDPS court can hear the bail application,” the ASG argued.

Finally, the magistrate said the bail applications of the accused sent to judicial custody will be heard at 11 am on Friday.

Hence Shahrukh Khan’s son will be shifted to the Arthur Road Jail or Mumbai Central Prison where he will have to spend tonight.

Another media source said that Aryaan Khan will not be sent to the Arthur Road Jail but will remain in the NCB custody for tonight, while their bail applications will be heard by the court tomorrow.

Aryan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde requested the court to allow Aryan Khan and others to be kept at the NCB office tonight.

The court accepted the request. The accused will be kept in the NCB office in judicial custody till tomorrow because the jail would not accept new inmates at this hour without a covid report. Under-trials who are sent to judicial custody have to spend 2-3 days in quarantine where Covid tests are carried out. The report takes 2 days and till then the accused are kept in a third party place or a separate cell.
