Two dead as Minibus rams into side guardrail on Mumbai-Goa highway: 17 injured and 4 critical

MUMBAI: According to news reports, a private minibus, while going from Goa to Mumbai on the Mumbai-Goa highway, crashed into a side guardrail near Khed Taluka in which 17 people were injured and four are critical.

One report claimed that two persons lost their life in the accident and three others are in a very critical condition.

The accident happened near Tulshi Village of Khed Taluka in Ratnagiri district on the Mumbai-Goa highway. Police and locals rushed to the spot and tried to extricate the passengers as the doors were jammed. The police admitted the injured to a nearby hospital.

Reportedly, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it jumped the divider going in the opposite direction and hitting a side guardrail.

The injured have been admitted to Kalambani Sub District Hospital for treatment. Some of the injured were rushed to Mumbai for further treatment.
