NCB director Sameer Wankhede unaware of ‘fake’ address mentioned in panchnama by Gosavi
MUMBAI: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede speaking to news persons in Mumbai today, said he was unaware of the different addresses mentioned by K P Gosavi on the various panchnamas signed by him during the Cruise ship drug bust in which Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and 20 other persons have been arrested so far.
As first reported by IndyaTV.in (Read Here), Kiran P Gosavi has mentioned different contact addresses in different documents and panchnamas signed by him, in the drug bust case concerning Aryan Khan, even on the same day. Coincidentally, Gosavi is also the informer in the case and along with a BJP worker Manish Bhanushali were responsible for bringing the NCB to the cruise terminal.
Wankhede agreed that NCB officials check the ID card of the panch witnesses, but since different panchnamas are prepared and signed by different officers, it is possible that the panch witness may have provided different addresses on different panchanamas and documents. He said he will look into the same.
Panch witness Kiran P Gosavi mentioned different or fake or incorrect residential or contact addresses in the panchnamas signed by him. That too on the same day and within a span of a few hours. It is learnt that Gosavi signed two different sets of panchnamas, for two different sets of accused, within a span of a few hours, and in both he has mentioned different contact addresses.
“This is not acceptable in law, besides being vague and surprising, as the addresses could be fake. How can the same witness provide different residential addresses, in the same matter, within a span of two hours,” asked senior advocate Ayaz Khan, who represents accused Nupur Satija in the cruise drug bust case.
