MUMBAI: Model, actor and semi finalist of the Ms Maharashtra International pageant, Ashwini Sowmya Yashwant will be seen in a main lead role in a Tamil film based on the true story of the Shraddha Walkar murder case. The Shraddha Walkar murder case shocked the nation a couple of years ago leading to a widespread hue and cry. The murder trial is going on in the Delhi Sessions court.

The news regarding Ashwini’s selection was confirmed by director Rameshnath Venkat Rao of the Chennai-based Shri Tirupati Telefilms on Sunday evening. More details regarding the star cast and the name of the project are awaited. The shooting of the film will begin during mid-March this year, a source informed.

Ashwini Sowmya Yashwant has been modelling for the last 3-4 years and is an active social media influencer. She has also tried her hand at acting in the past and hopes to make it big some day on the silver screen.

She has featured in several episodic serials and TV shows including Crime Patrol, CID, etc., and will soon be seen in a serial on a popular Marathi GEC.

WASHINGTON DC: Model and actor Rayya Labib will represent India at the Ms India Abroad – a multi-talent pageant, which will see participants trying their hand at cooking, singing, dancing and acting as well as on the ramp.

According to Anup Das of the India Abroad Forum that is hosting and organising the event in Canada this year, Rayya was selected from among 180 participants who had applied for the selection round. “Five more women from different age categories will be part of the group that will try their luck in Ottawa in November this year,” Das told this website.

Rayya will also be seen in a mythological series on a prominent OTT platform, which is expected to go live later this year.

The actor who has done several movies in the South and also featured in serials like Behenein on Star Plus, is known for her bold and bikini images.

She was introduced as an anchor on the Sahara One television channel. Later she did a role in the serial Behenein on Star Plus and appeared as VJ on True Life show on MTV India.

She did a lead role in a film Filmy Duniya and she also worked in few telugu films as a “item dancer”.

She has worked in many web series including Gandi Baat season 3 on Alt Balaji.

MUMBAI: Actor Rayya Labib who had recently shot for a Hollywood production was recently asked if she had any issues with doing bold shoots.

According to Rayya she does not mind posing nude for the camera if the script demands and the production and the director are thoroughly professional and all know their job.

“However, very often than not, film makers insert bold or nude or bed room scenes with absolutely no requirement or context to the story and the script. These are only to titillate the audience and are not in sync with the story. I will never do such scenes or movies with such scenes only intended to arouse the viewers,” Rayya said.

MUMBAI: Actor and producer Gehana Vasisth who runs her own production house today said she would really like Bigg Boss 16 finalist and winner of Marathi Bigg Boss, Shiv Thakare to work as her hero in her upcoming film.

Speaking to this website Gehana said, “The script of the film is ready. The story is very similar to the movie Jannat, everything is ready and the film is ready to hit the floors. The film is tentatively titled ‘Jai Maharashtra’. I want Shiv to be part of this project as my hero.”

Adding to this Gehana said she thinks Priyanka Chaudhary is a great actor and according to her, Priyanka and Shiv look very good together on screen as well.

“If she (Priyanka Chaudhary) is interested, I would love that she is also part of this project,” Gehana said.

Gehana feels that Shiv Thakare is super hero material and also considers him to be the winner of Bigg Boss 16.

“For me, Shiv is the winner of this season. I don’t care who wins finally, because there are other issues involved which I do not want to go into. But I think Shiv deserves to win and for me he is already the winner,” Gehana said.

Gehana whose real name is Vandana Tiwari, hails from Chirimiri in Chhattisgarh and spent her initial life in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. She was an anchor for a Tv channel covering the 2015 Cricket World Cup and was seen on several TV chat shows.

She has done over 100 ads and featured in films like Filmy Duniya (Hindi), Luckhnowi Ishq (Hindi), Operation Duryodhana 2 (Telugu), BTech Love story (Telugu). She was also short-listed for Ekta Kapoor’s Lock Upp reality show Season 1, but did not go on air.

On the Tv front, she was introduced as an anchor in Sahara One Television Channel. She was seen in the serial Behenein on Star Plus and appeared as a VJ on the True Life show on MTV India.

MUMBAI: After maverick Instagram model Urfi Javed posted a photo of her backside in a black panty on Instagram, actor Rayya Labib hit out at her saying she has so much of Botox on her bum.

Tagging Urfi on Instagram, Rayya wrote: aare @urf7i you have used so much of #botox on your #buttocks. #bum ko bada karna hein toh learn from me. I have a natural #butt baby…..

While Urfi has not responded to Rayya’s latest barb, the “It’s Over” and “Lakme” actor does not leave an opportunity to rib the controversial model for the eccentric choice of clothes and her dressing sense.

Rayya said that Urfi likes to show off her bum, which is very small. “I can show her how to increase her butt the naturally without using fillers, Botox or other cosmetic treatment or plastic surgery,” she said.

Rayya will begin shooting next week for a new web series, based on the real story of migrating workers from North East states to Western and Southern states in search of employment.

MUMBAI: Actor Rayya Labib hit out at drama queen Rakhi Sawant for accusing her husband of cheating, saying that Adil Durrani is an honest man and that Rakhi is doing it only for publicity.

“While I do not know Adil personally on a one-to-one basis, I have known the family,” said the Turkish-Iranian origin actor.

“Rakhi is doing this only for publicity, to stay in the limelight. She just lost her mother. She should stay quietly at home in mourning. Instead, she is going around town giving interviews accusing her husband of cheating on her which is not correct. Adil is an honorable man. He may have been conned by someone else, but that does not mean he is going to cheat. He has spent a fortune and given Rakhi gifts worth several lakh,” Rayya told this reporter.

Sawant in an interview to E Times, spoke about the problems that she had been facing with her husband Adil Khan.

According to E Times, the Main Hoon Na star also requested the paparazzi to not conduct any interviews of Durrani or even interact with him as it was she who brought him in limelight.

“I don’t want you to take any interviews of Adil or even try to make him a big star. Usne industry main ana tha isliye mera istemaal kiya (He just wanted that to use me and enter into the industry.) He will not come to the gym and will be here to just give interviews, which I don’t want at all.”

She further added, “ Adil is a liar. He swore by the Quran that he will block that girl. But he did not do it and now that girl is blackmailing him. She has some dirty proof about Adil,” Rakhi was quoted by the website as saying.

However, Rayya rubbished all these claims. “I have known Adil’s family. He has spent lakhs on Rakhi, why will he cheat. He can just walk out. He does not need Rakhi for publicity. He can afford to produce his own film or web series. Why does he need a ‘dying star on its last legs’ like Rakhi,” Rayya asked?

And the latest media buzz claims that there could be a new actor as part of the film cast. Bigg Boss 16 contestant Priyanka Chahar Choudhary might be part of SRK-Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki claim reports, possibly generated by her fans.

Priyanka is one of the top and most-watched contestants on Bigg Boss 16. Host Salman Khan has also been heaping praises on the actor and also advising her from time to time.

While Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill is going to make her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in the film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, reports surfaced about Priyanka being seen in SRK’s Dunki.

There were reports of Salman wanting to launch Priyanka in one of his projects as well, however, model and dancer Priya Soni who was asked about the possibility of her doing ‘Dunki’ said Priyanka is not Dunki material.

She may be a good reality show contestant, but films like Dunki and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan are not her cup of tea, Priya suggested, adding that these are rumours fueled by her fans as the show is nearing its end.
