PANAJI: Sources at the western zone Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai along with their counterparts in Goa are looking into the possible involvement of a Goan MLA’s son in financing  and transportation of a tranche of drugs, recently seized in Mumbai.

The NCB has arrested 20 individuals till today, in the same case in which Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested and is in judicial custody at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.

The infamous MLA’s son who was accused of his clandestine involvement in the drugs racket in Goa in the past, is once again on the Federal agency’s radar, along with a few associates from Goa.

“We have information from the arrested accused that a few persons in Goa are involved in this case (Aryan Khan drugs bust) and we are looking into all the links. We cannot take any names now. A few people will be summoned for interrogation,” a senior NCB official said.

As reported earlier, several peddlers and couriers operating from Calangute, Arpora, Siolim, Anjuna and Nerul are on the NCB radar. Subsequent to the recent bust, the Federal agency has got details and names of hundreds of persons connected with the drug trade both in Goa and Mumbai. Further interrogation is going on and more skeletons are expected to tumble out of the closets of the arrested persons, leading to further seizures and arrests.
