PANAJI: As the Goa Police struggles to find clues in the mysterious death of the 19-year-old Siddhi Naik, whose lifeless, semi nude body was found on the Calangute beach, it is very likely that the family of the deceased could be hiding something. ALSO READ: Siddhi Naik Was Killed By Sudden Forcible Drowning: Girl’s Father Tells Cops

Sources living close to the 19-year-old deceased teenager claim that the family was against her relationship with a boy and scolded and reprimanded the girl several times for spending long hours on the phone with her boyfriend, including chatting with him and other friends at night.

“The family is not giving the police all details. There is more than what meets the naked eye. There are some hidden secrets and facts stashed somewhere. “There is a remote possibility that the girl was depressed and met up with her boyfriend at a secluded location and was spotted in a compromising position by a family member or relative, resulting in an ‘honour killing’ situation on the spur of the moment, in a fit of anger,” the neighbourhood source explains, stating that the other option is that of an attempted molestation followed by murder, which would have however left telltale marks on the body of the deceased, that would have been spotted during the post-mortem.

Of course, the suicide theory is still an option, but it does not explain why the deceased victim’s body was found in a semi-nude state.
