Goa Cabinet Minister Sex Scandal: Victim tried to approach police, was threatened with death, told to sit and talk with accused
MORMUGAO, GOA: In a very shocking allegation, the victim woman who was sexually exploited by a Goa Cabinet Minister and forced to undergo an abortion (Read Full Story Here), told a social worker last week that she had tried to approach the Goa Police on two occasions, but in both instances was threatened with death by thugs of the concerned/accused Minister and was literally kidnapped and brought before the accused to “settle the matter”. “I approached the police on two occasions in the month of November. Thugs of the concerned Minister were waiting near the police station and did not allow me to enter. As I approached the police station, I was accosted by the thugs and literally showed and pushed into a vehicle and the goons told me to talk to the Minister and sort out the matter, or else they would kill me,” the woman told the social worker, who will be moving the appropriate court on behalf of the victim, in the next few days. “On the second occasion, the Minister had stationed his goons outside my house. As soon as I came out, they would follow me. I told them I was going to buy some groceries, but they followed me and I was not able to visit the police station,” she informed the social worker.
Social Worker To Approach Court
A prominent social worker will move the courts in the Goa Cabinet Minister sex scandal/sexual exploitation of woman case it is learnt. The social worker refused to reveal any details only saying she will speak to the media after the matter is admitted by the concerned court. Meanwhile, speaking to the Times of India, Vasco BJP MLA Carlos Almeida stated that when he came to know about the sex scandal concerning a Cabinet Minister from his own taluka, he immediately informed Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and other senior party leaders.
Almeida told TOI that as soon as he got wind about the sex scandal he informed party seniors including Goa election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis, but there was no response from either of them.
“I approached the party leadership several times. I even requested Goa BJP election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis to take action against the MLA before the allegations went viral, but nobody bothered to look into the matter,” Almeida said.
