Goa Cabinet Minister Sex Scandal Videos Exist, My Friends Have Seen Them, Will Harm BJP In 5 States: MLA Carlos Almeida
PANAJI: Vasco BJP MLA today late evening came out strongly in support of Goa Congress State President Girish Chodankar saying that the “Cabinet Minister Sex Scandal” videos actually exist and many of his friends have seen them. Almeida refused to name the accused Minister and the victim woman, (whose identity cannot be revealed as per Supreme Court guidelines), but reiterated that the scandal and the existence of proof in the form of videos, whatsapp chats and messages is true and correct as alleged by Chodankar and people in the constituency have also seen them. “This scandal will affect the BJP’s prospects in all states where elections are being held. It will harm the Goa BJP in a big way. I humbly request the Hon’ble Chief Minister to take immediate and stern action against the culprits and not favour anyone, in the interest of the party,” Almeida told this reporter.

When told that his party has officially denied the existence of such “video proof”, calling it election rhetoric and fake propaganda, Almeida said it (the videos) was sent to the CM and the CM has seen all the videos, chats and messages, as informed by Chodankar. Has the CM denied receiving or seeing the “proof” as stated by the Congress State President, Almeida asked?
He said he had heard that the victim also apparently tried to reach out to the CM, but was stonewalled. “The CM must not support and protect corrupt or criminal MLAs indulging in crimes against women,” Almeida opined. Almeida claimed the minorities in Goa are being ignored by the present CM. “Former CM, the late Manohar bhai Parrikar used to take good care of the minorities, support their cultural events and also the MLAs from the minority community. Projects concerning minorities were immediately approved. Now nobody cares. Minority community Ministers and MLAs have to run from pillar to post to get their work done. For the last several years we have supported the BJP, but the party must not ignore the minorities and give them equal representation when it comes to handing out tickets or getting development works done,” Almeida said, adding that he may have to take “harsh decisions” if his constituents and workers are not taken care of, or if BJP MLAs from the minority community are not given adequate representation by the party in the forthcoming Assembly polls.
