Goa Polls: North Goa BJP MLA likely to join TMC

PANAJI: A North Goa BJP MLA is likely to join the All India Trinamool Congress soon, sources said.

The induction function could be held on 13th December when the Trinamool supremo is likely to visit Goa along with party General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee.

According to reliable sources, two BJP MLAs who are disillusioned with the Bharatiya Janata Party top brass, particularly Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s style of working as well as the Super CM’s interference in state governance, are in advanced talks with the TMC, after having met Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) boss Prashant Kishor.

They are waiting for a final confirmation from Mamata Banerjee with regards to candidature and tickets before officially joining the party.
