Was Sonali Phogat secretly married to her PA? Were Sonali Phogat and Sudhir Sangwan husband and wife?

PANAJI: In the latest twist in the Sonali Phogat murder case, a source in the Goa police department has claimed that the accused no. 1, her PA Sudhir Sangwan and the late actor were married in a secret ceremony and were husband and wife. Sagwan (or Sangwan) had created documentary evidence of their marriage and legal proof that he was her husband. It remains to be seen if this documentary proof was only to claim ownership over her wealth and property, which seems to be the case. It has now come to light that the Bigg Boss contestant lived together with her PA Sudhir Sangwan in a Gurugram society apartment as husband and wife and even filed the police verification declaration  confirming their marital status. According to an IANS report, Sonali was named as Sudhir’s wife in the rent agreement documents of an apartment in the Gurgaon Greens society located in Sector 102 of Gurugram. ALSO READ: Was Sonali Phogat involved in a sex scandal or porn racket?

While her mother and brothers were aware of some sort of illicit relationship between the two, they did not have any proof and both Sonali and her PA husband maintained that they were just very good friends and working together. This was one of the main reasons why Sonali’s family was dead against the PA Sudhir Sangwan and immediately named him as the main accused in the murder of Phogat.

The family from day one has been saying that Sagwan was raping Sonali by drugging her. While this may or may not be true, the fact remains that both Sonali and her PA were in an intimate relationship, which was frowned upon by her family, who did not agree to their intimacy and relationship. It is not known if Sangwan was only faking the relationship while eyeing Sonali’s property and wealth, while pretending to love her.  ALSO READ: More than 46 injury marks found on Sonali Phogat’s body

However, the fact remains that if Sagwan really loved Sonali Phogat, he would not have forced her to have drugs, even if he wanted to enjoy and party together. Besides, if she took ill, he would have rushed her to best hospital immediately and not wasted time taking her back to the hotel and waiting till she died.

It is also being said that most people close to the duo knew that they were in a sort of live-in relationship and were living together as husband and wife. If that was the case, the question arises is why did Sangwan drug his wife?

Sangwan had rented flat number 901 in Gurgaon Greens about three months ago.

For this, the police verification formality was also done and other documents bore both the signatures. Police are trying to find out if the documents were forged and Sangwan signed on her behalf or forged her signature.

Normally in the film industry, managers sign routine documents on behalf of their artistes and while the signature looks like that of the actor concerned, it is in reality done or put by the manager. ALSO READ: Top politician’s name crops up in Sonali Phogat murder case?

Sudhir Sangwan had mentioned Phogat as his wife in all the documents.

Media reports show that the flat on rent in Gurgaon Greens was in the name of one Krishnakant Tiwari, who rented it to Phogat and Sagwan.
