MUMBAI: Deceased Tv actor Vaishali Takkar’s friend Priya Soni told this reporter that the former wanted to approach the Indore police and file a complaint against Rahul Navlani for threatening and harassing her in the month of September itself.

According to Priya, “Rahul and Vaishali had a big fight sometime during the first half of September and due to this incident, Vaishali was under much stress and was not eating properly. Her health was suffering and she was on the verge of approaching the police to register an F.I.R against Rahul Navlani and his wife.  However, Rahul somehow got to know about this and fell at her feet and begged for mercy. He promised to stop troubling her and leave her alone. A common friend also advised her against going to the police as Rahul promised to let her lead her own life in her own way. Had Vaishali to go to the cops in September itself, she would have been alive today and Rahul would have been punished adequately,” Priya explained.

Meanwhile, the Indore police are making arrangements to conduct various tests on Rahul Navlani to ascertain if he is telling the truth.

“Brain mapping, lie-detector and narco-analysis tests will be conducted on Rahul Navlani as he is not co-operating with the investigation and changing his statements every day,” a police source told this reporter.

The Indore-based businessman Rahul Navlani who was named as an accused in the Vaishali Thakkar suicide case – along with his wife Disha Navlani, in a suicide note the actress left behind, was further remanded once again to four days police custody by a local JMFC court in Indore on Monday.

The police sought further remand on the grounds that the investigation could not proceed further as Disha Navlani was absconding and Rahul was not co-operating with the probe.
