Siddhi Naik Was Killed By Sudden Forcible Drowning: Girl’s Father Tells Calangute Cops
MAPUSA: In a sudden twist to the Siddhi Naik mysterious death, wherein the semi-naked body of the 19-year-old was found on Calangute beach, a local news outlet GoanVarta reported that the girl’s father had told the Calangute police weeks earlier that his daughter was killed by “sudden, forcible drowning”.
The victim’s father has alleged that his daughter was murdered and was killed by abrupt or sudden, forced drowning, GoanVarta reported.

While the police have termed the mysterious death as a case of “suicide by drowning”, the deceased girl’s father told the cops that he suspected his daughter was killed by forcibly drowning her all of a sudden, taking her by surprise and not giving her any time to react.

In the heat of the moment and with his perceived facts around his daughter’s brutal death not totally clear, a distraught father had stated that his daughter was depressed and indicated that she may have ended her life, Herald had reported earlier.

According to media reports, a local bus conductor had told the police that he saw the deceased waiting at the Mapusa bus stand, hours after she was reportedly dropped by her father at Guirim junction.
The conductor, who was a classmate of the deceased, said that he saw the deceased at around 11.30 am at the bus stand.
The conductor voluntarily contacted the family members and later the police after news about Sidhi Naik going missing went viral, a day before her corpse was found at Calangute.

“I say that she was standing alone and talking to herself. She was standing and holding hand to hand. I say that there was no one around her but she was looking at people passing by her. I say that looking at her it appeared to me as if she was under some deep depression and disturbed,” the conductor told the cops.
