Vadodara model Sonya Leanne Singh is Ms Gujarat India Live

MUMBAI: Vadodara-born Sonya Leanne Singh was selected Ms Gujarat India Live. The 21-year-old polled the maximum number of votes, both online as well as offline – the online pageant was conducted on Facebook and other online social media and she was eventually declared the winner for the State of Gujarat.

She will compete with about 30 other participants for the Ms India Live pageant.

Sonya Leanne Singh who is currently Mumbai-based has done episodic roles in CID, Hunted Nights, Crime Patrol, Savdhan India, Police Diary, Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, Zee Horror Show, Naagin and regional projects like Jai Jagni Ma Durga, Jai Bajrang Bali and many others over the last three years.

She started acting and modeling at the young age of 16 and has also done six Bhojpuri films and is a known face in the south-Indian movie circuit as well as an item dancer in Tamil and Telugu films.

Speaking to this website on the phone from Vadodara where she is currently visiting her family, Sonya said, “My target is to win the national pageant and I am working hard towards it.”
