Was Only Testing AAP Goa Leadership: No Intention To Tie Up For Polls: Congress
Panaji: The Congress in Goa on Sunday, reiterated its claim that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was the creation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) whose objective was to only split the votes of the Congress.
“We have no intention to tie-up with the AAP for the upcoming assembly elections. We were just testing them for their response. I said something very different and they conveniently changed my words and statements to suit their agenda. We know their intention. There is no way the Congress in Goa will tie-up with the AAP for the 2022 assembly elections. It was a ploy to get the cat out the bag,” Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar said.
Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarters in the city, Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar said, “It’s proved that the AAP is a creation of the RSS. Its objective is to split the votes of the Congress, helping the RSS to make Congress mukt India.
There is a clear understanding that AAP will rule Delhi, while the rest of the country will be ruled by the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Chodankar claimed.
He alleged that the sole intention of the AAP was to target voters of the Congress, which they did in the 2017 assembly elections and the 2020 Zilla Panchayat elections.
