Cops selectively targeting me, Sherlyn Chopra, Poonam Pandey, Tina Nandy, Zoya Rathore, Soniya Maheshwari and 10 others shot hundreds of soft porn films: Gehana Vasisth

Mumbai: Actress Gehana Vasisth in a media statement on Sunday claimed that the Mumbai police are selectively targeting her and she does not understand why.

Speaking to this reporter on phone, she said that there are several female and male models who are still shooting hardcore porn in different parts of India, but they are not being targeted. Only my name appears in all their FIRs, Rowa Khan has shot three times the number of films that I have shot, but why am I being selectively targeted, she asked.

“Other soft porn players like Sherlyn Chopra, Poonam Pandey, Tina Nandy, Zoya Rathore, Ritika Ansari aka Ritika Shaikh, Soniya Maheshwari and at least 10 more have shot hundreds of soft porn clips. They have earned money in lakhs over the last 18 months. Poonam Jhawar, Khushi Mukherjee, Ankita Dave and several others have been doing streaming shows on their APPs and on other apps. These players are 20-30 times bigger than me in terms of business or income. The law should be same for everyone. Why am I being singled out and selectively targeted by Mumbai police when other girls have done 5 or 10 or 20 times more work, more porn films and more business than I have done,” Gehana wondered.

These porn stars like Tina Nandy, Nandita Dutta, etc., also double up as producers, but their boyfriends or partners manage the production part.

According to Gehana Vasisth, some models or porn stars have done about 100 porn/bold films each and earned over Rs 40 to 50 lakh (per model) in the last one year. They are definitely not victims as they were and still are shooting 2-3 films each week, she alleged.

“The locations have shifted from Mumbai to Kolkata or Delhi, that’s it. Why are they not arrested? Some models charge Rs 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh as fees per bold film. They are still shooting such films in different parts of India. Why are producers like myself being singled out? Why this partiality to the models/porn stars who earn more than the producers,” she asked?
