MUMBAI: Shooting for a comedy web series starring Sagarika Shona Suman and titled Raj Kundra Ka Ulta Chashma will commence soon, sometime next month, sources said.

The creative team for the web series is part of Purple Orchid Films and the series director Rajesh Kamat says the film is “only inspired” by the Raj Kundra porn racket.

Kamat didn’t say on which OTT the web series will be featured on, but hinted that it will be on one of the top 5 OTT platforms, streaming in India.

“This project is not based on Raj Kundra. It has nothing to do with Shilpa Shetty or the HotShots App. This is a double-meaning, but otherwise clean comedy web series and we have signed on Sagarika Shona Suman for this series. We are in talks with various Tv artists like Arshi Khan, comedian Sunil Pal, etc., as actors for this project,” Kamat told this reporter.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Sagarika told Pinkvilla that she has been receiving abusive, rape and threatening messages on WhatsApp and on few social media handles. “I have filed an official complaint against it at the Oshiwara Police Station, and they are looking into the matter,” informs Sagarika.

She further added, “These threat messages say that their business was going so well, and how dare I raise my voice against it, and many such other messages. I was very mentally disturbed because of this, and was hospitalised three days ago. I am still not feeling very well,” she said, further stating, “Many big people are involved in this. I don’t think Raj Kundra can operate such a big racket alone.”

Sagarika also claimed that in December 2020, Hotshots App had offered her Rs 1 lakh for a 30 minute nude live show. “They had approached me through a coordinator this time, and when I said no they said I can do it wearing a mask too, and I don’t have to show my face,” informed Sagarika, who was first approached by the app in August 2020.
