Sonali Phogat’s brother alleges his sister was drugged at Curlies Restaurant in Goa
PANAJI: In a bizarre turn of events, actor and BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka, in a written complaint to the Anjuna police has alleged that his sister was drugged, raped and then murdered by her associates who were present with her at Goa. According to Dhaka’s allegations, Phogat food or drink or both were laced with psychotropic drugs while she was at the Curlies Restaurant at Anjuna.

Her sister Raman told reporters in Hisar on Tuesday that Phogat had telephoned her mother and told her about not feeling well after she had her food on Monday at Curlies restaurant. ALSO READ: Was Sonali Phogat involved in a sex scandal or porn racket?
”She said she was feeling uneasy. She sensed as if something was not right as if some conspiracy was being played against her. Later in the morning, we received the news that she was no more,” news agency PTI quoted her sister, in its report on Tuesday. Curlies restaurant promoter Edwin Nunes, a prominent local resident of Anjuna has denied any wrongdoing on part of the restaurant. “Nothing can be wrong on part of the restaurant. We have a zero tolerance policy towards drugs on our property. If something happened between Phogat and her associates, we definitely do not know. The police must look into all the angles and find out the truth, given the allegations made by the family,” Nunes said.
