Sagarika Shona Suman implores Mumbai police to bust Rs 4000-crore OTT porn business
MUMBAI: Claiming that the OTT (Over the Top) and live and recorded streaming porn business in India was in the range of Rs 4000 crore annually, while speaking to the media today, upcoming Bollywood actress Sagarika Shona Suman implored the Mumbai police to bust the bubble completely.
“Mumbai police should not stop with Raj Kundra, but they should arrest each and everyone involved or profiting from the porn business.
Young girls who want to join acting and films, are eventually forced into prostitution and forced to work in the flesh trade. This starts with bold shoots and nude shoots and eventually lands the women into the flesh trade, she alleged.
The Mumbai Police had earlier revealed that there are over 250-300 such porn OTT platforms operating in Maharashtra alone.
Mumbai Police claims to have closed down over 15 such applications during the crackdown in February. The police says these applications were inspired by an app called ‘HotShots’ which was reportedly previously owned by actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra.
His former manager Umesh Kamat was also arrested by the Crime Branch in the case.
