Goan activist Shreha Dhargalkar nominated for India International Excellence Awards

MUMBAI: Goan social worker and Human Rights activist Shreha Dhargalkar was nominated for the India International Excellence Award (IIE Awards) for her social during the Covid pandemic over the last two years.

Shreha was declared an IIE nominee for her service and participation in feeding street dwellers and providing basic ration, food grains and other items, particularly among the poor and needy across the length and breadth of Goa

The IIE Awards 2022 jury also issued a special certificate of appreciation for Shreha’s work during the pandemic, designating her as a national Covid Warrior.

The names of the awardees were announced by a jury panel today and the award ceremony will be held in December, the jury said.

The India International Excellence (IIE Awards) Awards – a bi-annual national award, is one of the highest and most prestigious Indian awards by a private institution.

Winners are selected by a jury panel consisting of 25 prominent citizens that include former diplomats, retired judges, journalists, lawyers, law-makers, businessmen, environmentalists and doctors.

The India International Excellence Award aims to recognize the outstanding contributions made by professionals in the field of social work – and other sectors like education, science, tech, research, biotechnology, etc., in various parts of the country.

The award acknowledges and felicitates their passion and professional contribution to the improvement of the social service and healthcare sectors, besides others. In all, 50 persons pan-India are awarded each year for their invaluable contribution to the nation.
