Actor Rayya Labib to feature in three religious web series projects for new OTT APP platform

NEW DELHI: According to a news release, Vrindaavan Telefilms announced it has signed on Mumbai-based actor Rayya Labib for three of its religious web series projects for its new offering – a brand new Over The Top (OTT) APP platform dedicated only to Religious and Mythological serials and web series.

The APP will also feature religious songs, bhajans and related content of all religions, a director with the production house said.

Rayya Labib who hails from Assam is now based in Mumbai and has done several film projects, modeling assignments and print shoots.

She was seen in director Maneesh F Singh’s film Green Terror which was based on cross-border terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. Some parts of the film were shot in Pakistan in the year 2016-7. She also did a film with Vrindaavan Films called Welcome to Chennai and will be seen in the double-meaning comedy web series Tandoori Bhabhi on an OTT platform.

And as part of the new OTT exclusively dedicated to Religious and Mythological serials and web series, Vrindaavan Telefilms said it was launching four new web series projects on Ramayan, Mahabharat, Sri Krishna and Veer Hanuman initially.

The production house also said it has signed on actor Rayya Labib for the main lead role for three projects, but did not name which of the above projects she would be doing.

The shooting for the projects for Ramayan, Mahabharat, Sri Krishna and Veer Hanuman is expected to start in Mumbai in the second week of January next year, the production house said in a news release, adding that other star cast will be announced soon.
