MUMBAI: Film producer Nitin Manmohan, known for backing movies such as ‘Dus’, “Bol Radha Bol” and “Laadla”, has been admitted to a private hospital for cardiac issues, a hospital official said on Sunday.
The veteran filmmaker reportedly suffered a massive heart attack on Saturday evening and was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in a serious condition.
According to a hospital official, Nitin Manmohan is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and put on ventilator and other life saving equipment.
”He was admitted to the hospital last night due to cardiac issues. He came in very critical condition. He is in the ICU,” the official told news agency PTI.
According to an E Times report, the veteran filmmaker is responding to treatment but not yet out of danger. “His vital parameters are stable at the moment but he was put on a ventilator, and continues to remain on it until now,” a doctor told E Times.
Sanjay Dutt’s former secretary Kaleem is constantly by his side in the ICU.
Kaleem and Nitin Manmohan go back a long way.
A source told E Times, “All family members of Nitin Manmohan are worried, some of them are on their way to the hospital and some others have already reached and been there since last night.”
Nitin Manmohan is the son of the late actor-villain Manmohan who had a very striking and dominating presence om screen, and was known for films like ‘Brahmachari’, ‘Gumnaam’, ‘Naya Zamana’, “Naya Zamana” and several others.
We are doing our best and the best treatment and facilities are provided to him a hospital source said.
