Aftab Amin Poonawala had sex with more than 10 women after murdering Maharashtrian Dalit Koli girl Shraddha Walkar

NEW DELHI: According to the Delhi police probing the dastardly and inhuman murder of 28-year-old Maharashtrian Dalit Koli woman Shraddha Walkar, the accused, Aftab Amin Poonawalla, continued to bring other women to the same room where he had murdered his live-in girlfriend.

He found the women on dating apps and police sources claimed Poonawala had created profiles on at least two dating apps and three marriage or matrimony portals.

He had even used the paid services of two escorts or call girls whom he located online on a social media platform.

Sources claimed Poonawala also tried to contact married couples on Twitter for swapping or threesomes, claiming his wife was out of town, while her cut up body lay in his fridge.

Poonawala had sex with at least 10 women since May this year, since he murdered Walkar and even before he met Walkar had slept or had relationships with several women, police sources who interrogated him said, adding that he was a sex maniac and obsessed with sex.

Even after the murder, he continued to bring women to the house at Chhattarpur Pahadi in South Delhi where he had killed Shraddha and had sex with them while her dismembered corpse was in the fridge, police said, adding that Poonawalla did not show any remorse or felt sorry for what he had done.

The women who came to Aftab’s house for sex did notice lit incense sticks and a strong fragrance of room fresheners, and the pungent stench of chlorine and other chemicals, but they did not suspect anything. Poonawala told them he was a chef and used to practice chopping meat and fish and used the chlorine to clean up the place and remove the stench.

During the months of May, June and July at least four women came to his house and he had sex with them in the same room, when Shraddha’s cut up and decomposing body parts were still in the fridge and the kitchen.

He had used a single foot-long saw to cut the body parts.
