Actresses like Nandita Dutta, Tina Nandy, Zoya Rathore, Soniya Maheshwari and others earn Rs 15 to 25 lakh per month from XXX biz, should not be treated as victims, demands Sagarika Shona Suman
MUMBAI: Speaking to media persons in Mumbai on Tuesday, actor Sagarika Shona Suman requested the Mumbai police and Indian law enforcement agencies not to treat porn actors (both male and female) as victims and let them off the hook easily.
She alleged that porn star Nandita Dutta aka Nancy Bhabhi, arrested recently by the Kolkata police, was earning Rs 30 to Rs 35 lakh per month. Her annual income from all porn-related sources including private online shows, streaming and porn clips is in the range of Rs 5 crore, Sagarika claimed.
“Most of them have shot hundreds of porn films over the last 2 to 3 years, ever since OTT apps became popular. While all Indians were struggling for oxygen during the first and second Covid waves, these porn stars were making Rs 15 to 25 lakhs each month, said Sagarika Shona Suman, explaining that actors like Tina Nandy and Soniya Maheshwari charge Rs 60k to Rs 90k for a 6-hour porn clip shoot that includes sexual acts. Other actors were charging Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh per shoot even during lock down in Mumbai, when we were all struggling to buy essentials. These porn stars earn Rs 15 to Rs 25 lakh per month, from porn shoots, live streaming, private online sex shows, etc., thanks to the millions of sexually starved Indian porn consumers who pay anywhere from Rs 199 to Rs 2000 per month as subscription fees to the porn apps. The porn industry is as bad as drugs. It’s a chronic psychological addiction. And the purveyors of such mass moral corruption should be dealt with the strong arm of the law and not with kid gloves. They should not be treated as victims,” Sagarika who launched her NGO Naya Savera Seva Samiti appealed.

She said that through this media note, she appeals to the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the Jt CP (Crime) to arrest all the porn stars, including those who have fled Mumbai.
She revealed that after the February crackdown in Mumbai, porn stars like Tina Nandy, Nandita Dutta aka Nancy Bhabhi and several others fled to Kolkata and set up their biz there, using cheap labour in the form of struggling girls from West Bengal and Assam to run their porn production lines. Most porn clips feature a known porn actress and other unknown struggling actresses, who are the victims in this case, as they are often threatened or cheated and conned into shooting such films.

Many innocent girls were sexually exploited, even by the female porn actors. Sagarika mentioned the name of a model Cherlyne Martins who was propositioned and asked to compromise with three persons – the producer, director and OTT owner just for an OTT film project.
For the information of the top police brass in Mumbai, Sagarika revealed that the Yash Thakur-led Nuefliks porn factory has shifted its base from Surat to Kolkata with Tina Nandy coordinating shoots and also acting in porn films for Nuefliks, besides her own home productions. “I am moving the Bombay High Court through a PIL in the next two days, praying for the arrest and prosecution of all porn stars, porn film producers, coordinators, video editors, cameramen, etc., who have earned millions through this dirty, morally degrading business over the last two years. It is very unfair that only 5 or 10 persons like Gehana Vasisth, Raj Kundra, etc., should be arrested and prosecuted, when others who have earned 10 or even 100 times more than them from the same business are roaming scot free. Raj Kundra and Gehana Vasisth came under the law enforcement radar because they were prominent and flamboyant. There are hundreds of others earning more than these two from the porn biz, but live in rat-holes and wear hoods and wigs to conceal their identity. They should be fished out and arrested,” she appealed.
