Tunisha Sharma suicide: Police file FIR, arrest co-actor Sheezan Khan for abetment of suicide

MUMBAI: While actor Rayya Labib who knew Tv actress Tunisha Sharma for 2-3 years, demanded stringent action against her co-star for driving her to suicide by hanging, the police arrested her co-actor Sheezan Mohammad Khan late on Saturday evening, under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Tunisha was reportedly in a relationship with Sheezan Khan before he broke up with her, after a bitter fight which purportedly prompted her to take her own life.

Sheezan will be produced before the Vasai court today.

The actress was shooting for her TV show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. Initial reports suggest that she ended her life on the sets, in the bathroom next to the make-up room of her co-star, after they had a bitter fight, at Naigaon on the outskirts of Mumbai. Tunisha was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Tunisha was a child actor. She shared the screen with stars like Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan. Tunisha made her debut with Fitoor, where she played the younger Katrina Kaif. She did the same in Baar Baar Dekho. She shared the screen with Vidya Balan in Kahaani 2. She was a popular face on TV as well, and was a part of shows like Internet Wala Love, Ishq Subhallah, Gayab, and Sher-E-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
