MUMBAI: The Mumbai police have abstained from officially commenting on Sidharth Shukla’s death. When asked, a senior police official of the Oshiwara-Andheri West sub-division in suburban Mumbai said the police have not made any statement on the late actor’s cause of death.

“We will not comment or state the cause of death on record unless the results of the viscera analysis and the histopathology tests are known, and a team of doctors have analysed the same and give us their opinion. The Mumbai police has reserved its opinion. No certificate either way has been issued to anyone,” the senior official said off the record.

The family of the late Sidharth Shukla had rushed to state that Sidharth Shukla had died a natural death, due to a massive heart attack.

They were also against conducting a postmortem report as they kept insisting that it was a natural death. But the police refused to release the body from the government-run Cooper Hospital unless a postmortem was conducted.
