Marathi Actor Madhuri Sangita Patil Alleges Local Youth Harassed Her At Calangute

CALANGUTE, GOA: A 20-year-old Marathi actress from Mumbai, Madhuri Sangita Patil has alleged that she was eve-teased and harassed by local youth while on a holiday over the weekend with her friends at the beach locale of Calangute in North Goa.

On returning to Mumbai on Monday, Madhuri spoke to a media outlet, revealing the mental torture and harassment she went through while holidaying in the coastal belt of Goa.

My friend and I had hired a scoter and were visiting different spots in North Goa. Near the Calangute market, a group of local youth who were on three scooters started following us and passing vulgar and indecent comments about my attire and the way I was sitting on the scoter.

They followed us all the way to Candolim and kept on passing vulgar and abusive comments, Patil alleged.

When asked why she did not approach the police, Madhuri said her friends were against it as they did not want to further spoil their holiday.

“We were in Goa for two days and did not want to get involved in police matters,” she replied.
