Goa to get App-based taxis at Dabolim Airport in 10 days

PANAJI: Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho while speaking at the 42nd Anniversary celebrations of the Kadamba Transport Corporation declared that the government would introduce app-based taxis at the Dabolim Airport within 10 days.

“There will be no more protectionism or special treatment for local taxi operators,” Godinho declared, adding that some taxi drivers have brought a bad name to the tourism state by fleecing tourists, overcharging and even peddling drugs.

He also said the opening of the Mopa airport in North Goa will be a game changer and multi-modal transport via  apps will become a reality.

The definition and face of public transport in Goa is about to change in the coming days, Godinho announced.
