ALERT: Very Heavy Rains Expected In Goa From 12 to 15th July

PANAJI: With the possible intensification of the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) off the south Odisha coast, rainfall over Goa is likely to increase from July 12 and very to extremely heavy rain is expected on July 12-13 in Goa, the met department has warned.

Other atmospheric activity is conducive to producing heavy rain in Goa, Konkan and Maharashtra.

The possibility of Very Heavy Rainfall in North and South continues and residents are advised to take appropriate care. Warning to fishermen from 11th to 15th July to avoid going into the sea, the IMD said in its Monday forecast for the week.

Isolated, extremely heavy rainfall is likely over parts of Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh in the next few days, the India Meteorological Department forecast said on Monday, warning fishermen to stay out of the sea.
