After barrage of threatening, vulgar calls, Sagarika Shona Suman’s BP drops, hospitalized

MUMBAI: Sagarika Shona Suman who first exposed Raj Kundra’s role in the Mumbai porn racket was hospitalized on Saturday evening with a very weak and feeble pulse. The actress took ill on Saturday and was unable to attend a scheduled press conference.

Sources close to the actress said that she was feeling ill due to undue stress and anxiety since Saturday morning and did not attend a series of media interviews on Saturday afternoon, which were scheduled a day in advance.

Her condition deteriorated on Saturday evening and she was admitted to a clinic in the vicinity of her residence, apparently with a low blood pressure and feeble pulse. She was immediately put on an IV drip, sources said.

Sagarika was subjected to a barrage of vulgar, threatening and abusive calls via social media platforms – Facebook messenger and Instagram voice calling service over the last 3-4 days.

She was forced to deactivate her Insta and Facebook pages to avoid the constant ringing of her phone.

She was very careful not to share her personal mobile number with anyone, but in spite of that her number leaked, and the calls continued via whatsapp.

Most of the calls are recorded voice messages sent via bots on the various internet messenger services.

Sagarika Shona Suman had filed a police complaint on Friday evening at the Oshiwara police station, stating that she has been receiving several “abusive, threatening and vulgar” calls on Facebook and Instagram messengers from “fake” and “automated” accounts ever since she complained against Businessman Raj Kundra.

In her complaint, Sagarika has alleged, “The calls from persons have threatened to kill or rape me, besides being very vulgar and abusive… I fear for my life as there could be some lunatic and crazy people out there, who being fans and friends of Raj Kundra, could go to any extent to harm me or my family.”

The fake callers had threatened to rape and kill her and also harm members of her family.

Sagarika has been vocal about the ongoing pornography racket case involving Kundra. She recently claimed that Kundra’s former PA Umesh Kamat contacted her with an offer for a web show.

“He told me I have to audition online, and I was ready for it because during the lock down all auditions were happening online. When the audition started, he demanded I take my clothes off and that is when I refused to go ahead,” she had alleged.
