Actor Madhuri Sangita Patil assaulted by eunuchs at Malwani who tried to steal her mobile phone

MUMBAI: On New Year’s Eve at around 3 am, actor Madhuri Sangita Patil was assaulted by eunuchs on the Marve-Malwani road near the Ryan School on the back road.

She was going towards the Charkop naka area on her scooty to visit a relative who was admitted in a neighborhood hospital.

The incident happened when she objected to the eunuchs soliciting customers for prostitution around the back road area near the Malwani creek bridge.

Madhuri told the eunuchs to leave the area as they were obstructing traffic and creating a ruckus, while soliciting clients, with several autos waiting to pick up customers.

Suddenly, four eunuchs pounced on her and started beating and abusing her. When Madhuri screamed for help, the eunuchs disappeared in autos waiting nearby. The eunuchs fled in waiting auto rickshaws before anyone could come to her help.

According to Madhuri, the eunuchs tried to snatch her mobile phone and when she resisted they abused and beat her.
