Man arrested for having sex with a dog in Nagpur was a habitual offender, addicted to bestiality

NAGPUR: The 40-year-old accused laborer who was arrested on Friday for allegedly committing a sexual crime on a stray dog in Nagpur’s Hudkeshwar area, by trying to have forcible sexual intercourse with the animal was a habitual offender and was addicted to bestiality. According to a police official the cops arrested the man after a video of the criminal act went viral on social media.

A video of the man indulging in the act in a garden in Shahu Nagar area had gone viral on social media and the cops took action when it came to their notice.

Sources said the man was a habitual offender and would try to have unnatural sex with animals and has tried to force himself on dogs in the park and other deserted areas of Nagpur on 2-3 other occasions in the past.

He was spotted in the act on at least two more occasions, but the passersby’s did not record any video and hence the culprit was not apprehended

”The accused was held on a tip off on Friday morning. He hails from Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh and works as a labourer here,” Inspector Lalit Vartikar of Hudkeshwar police station told news agency PTI.

He has been charged under section 377 (carnal intercourse against the order of nature), 294 (obscenity) and other offences under the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, the official added.
