Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi breakup and part ways?

MUMBAI: Former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi hit the headlines and made international news a couple of months ago, after Modi shared some intimate pics on his Twitter handle.

The former controversial Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner had addressed Sen as ‘My love’ and even added added it to his Instagram bio, sharing pics of the duo having a blast together and looking very much in love – at least for the camera.

Calling Sushmita, the love of his life, Lalit Modi months ago had added to his Instagram bio to “finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love @sushmitasen47.”

However, recently, he not only he changed his DP but also removed Sushmita’s mention in his bio.

According to media reports, Modi has removed the former Miss Universe from his Instagram bio fuelling rumours that the couple have parted ways. Or is it just that he is adding something more than “My Love”.

When Modi shared a few pictures from their vacation in Maldives with Sushmita Sen calling the vacation a new chapter of his life, a new beginning, many people assumed they had tied the knot and got married secretly.

Later Modi clarified in a subsequent social media post that they were in a relationship and are not married yet. But he added that he was looking forward to that day.

While both of them refused to comment or speak on the issue, we wonder if the entire episode is just a publicity stunt. First announce a relationship with some mushy images and then announce – very subtly a breakup like situation.
