Sherlyn Chopra demands Sajid Khan’s sacking from Bigg Boss 16, to record statement at Juhu Police Station today

MUMBAI: Popular social media personality and actor Sherlyn Chopra will record her statement at the Juhu police station in suburban Mumbai today.

Sherlyn who had submitted a complaint against director Sajid Khan who is a participant on the Bigg Boss season 16 reality show has demanded the sacking of the director-filmmaker for sexually harassing her.

According to Sherlyn’s complaint, a copy of which was accessed by this reporter, when she met Sajid Khan several years earlier the filmmaker allegedly flashed at her and asked her to rate his private part on a scale of 1 to 10. He made several other sexual advances towards her, she has alleged in her complaint.

Sherlyn Chopra has been summoned to the Juhu police station to record her statement following the complaint she filed against filmmaker Sajid Khan. The police may conduct a preliminary enquiry before taking any further action.

Based on Sherlyn’s statement and her inputs, the police will decide on the further course of action. Most probably an F.I.R for molestation could be registered under section 354 or 509 of the Indian Penal Code.

While the police have no say in Sherlyn’s demand to sack Sajid Khan from the reality show Bigg Boss, they could possibly take cognizance of her sexual allegations against Khan. However, since several years have passed and since Chopra was silent all this while, it remains to be seen how the Mumbai police will react in this case.
