Molested by Tamil director Rameshnath Venkat Rao during audition, wanted to see my breasts: Actor Jayashree Gaikwad

MUMBAI: Marathi actor and OTT Queen Jayashree Gaikwad has alleged that she was molested by Tamil film director Rameshnath Venkat Rao during an audition recently.

Recounting the incident, Jayshree Gaikwad said, “Rameshnath Venkat Rao who was in Mumbai last week had invited me through a casting director to audition for one of his forthcoming Tamil films. Since I am very keen on getting into the south film industry and work there, I went for the audition. While I was auditioning, Rameshnath Venkat Rao approached me and tried to touch my breasts. He said he wanted to see if they were soft or hard and tight or loose. I flatly refused to let him touch me. This is not the way auditions are done, I told him and the softness or hardness of an actor’s breasts is not important compared to her acting skills and talent,” Jayashree blurted out angrily.

This resulted in an argument between the two as Rameshnath Venkat Rao insisted that it was his film and he had every right to check everything. Jayashree insisted that no director or casting director will ever touch an actor’s breasts while doing an argument. This resulted in a verbal fight and the audition ended there. Jayashree stomped out of the room in a fit of rage, but not before giving Rameshnath Venkat Rao some of the choicest gallis in Marathi.
