Goa resort changing room pics viral: Security guard indicted for illegally clicking female actor changing clothes at Goan hotel
PANAJI: An internal investigation by the production house into the appearance of private photos or illegal images on social media of a Mumbai-based actor Rayya Labib has revealed that the photos were allegedly clicked illegally by a security guard from a third-party agency, while the actor was changing her outfits in a makeshift changing room in the lawns of a resort in North Goa.
The incident happened while the actor was shooting in Goa for a festival or short film along with others from Mumbai. The leaked images (censored) can be viewed here.
Actor Rayya Labib – the victim who was shooting last weekend for an international Festival Film (short film) in Goa (to be screened at the Spain Film Festival in 2023) was shocked to find some images shot illegally and without her permission or knowledge, apparently while she was changing her outfits in the changing room, leaked and circulating on social media, including WhatsApp on Sunday.
According to Rayya she was shocked to find a couple of raw photos or images from the changing room of the film shoot, which showed her changing her clothes. Along with the illegal photos, a short mms clip of the changing room of about 10 second duration is also doing the rounds on social media, her management claimed.
“None of us were allowed to click any photos or selfies, we had to deposit our mobile phones at the security counter, so I do not know who clicked the photos. I think it was someone from the makeup team or maybe the production and security team,” Rayya told this website.
The Goan resort owners said they had no role to play in the incident. The entire security, ground management and logistics was outsourced by the producer to another third-party company.
“We were ourselves not present at the venue, which we had rented out for two days to the production house,” Neil Fernandes, one of the partners said.
Rayya who has returned to Mumbai has asked her lawyers to take on the matter legally and file a police complaint.
The security agency appointed by the production house is Ponda-based and almost all of the guards and watchmen are non-Goans, mostly from Bihar, a source said.
