Dolly chaiwalla is a conman, actor Jayshree Gaikwad alleges Nagpur influencer cheated several celebs

MUMBAI: In a stunning allegation, actor Jayshree Gaikwad today alleged that Dolly chaiwalla who runs a tea stall by the name of Dolly Ki Tapri is a conman who has cheated several people, including some celebrities.

Dolly chaiwalla came into the limelight in 2024 after a video of him serving tea to Bill Gates went viral on social media. After that he has been in and out of the news for various reasons, but particularly for his Instagram reels and other videos. He has a sizeable fan following on social media, but Jayshree claim all his followers are fake and “paid”.

After serving tea to Bill Gates in classic tapri style, in February this year, Dolly Chaiwala, a tea seller from Nagpur, gained widespread fame and recognition. His follower count on Instagram, which was just 10,000 at the time before he met Gates, has now soared to millions, according to the Hindustan Times. The famous tea seller has since travelled to the Maldives and was seen preparing and serving tea to beachgoers.

However, Jayshree claims the meeting with Bill Gates was ‘managed’ and not a ‘chance encounter’ as Dolly chaiwalla had stated. Jayshree has alleged that Dolly chaiwalla “paid” his way to fame and the money came by ‘conning’ other social media influencers who were asked to part with varying sums of money.

Dolly chaiwalla also took money from several other people on one pretext or the other and has not retured the same, she alleged.

Who is Jayshree Gaikwad?

Jayashree Gaikwad is an Indian model-turned actress who has featured in many web series across various OTT platforms.

She is known for her bold acting and roles in some of the prominent adult web shows including Baba Rancho, Jelabi, Paglet, Pehredaar, and others. She has acted in the Amrit Kumar Shah directed and produced upcoming film Tejasvini and in other web series projects. Besides, she has done hundreds of modeling assignments and print shoots for brands in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.

She has also done several smaller movies in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, albeit under a different stage name.

She was born in 1992 and is 30 years old. Her year of birth has been wrongly published as 1988 on several websites – a fact that she is very upset about.

She has worked with OTT platforms including Cineprime, Primeplay, Digi Movieplex, 3XRedHot and many others.

Jayashree has also done films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and has appeared in Punjabi music videos and regional Tv serials.
