Actor Madhuri Sangita Patil mobbed by hawkers after she intervenes in a fight at Hill Road, Bandra

MUMBAI: Theatre artiste, model and Marathi film actor Madhuri Sangita Patil was mobbed and shouted down by hawkers on Tuesday on the busy and crowded Hill Road at Bandra in broad daylight.

According to Madhuri Sangita Patil, the incident took place on Tuesday mid-morning when she came upon a fight between two groups of hawkers on the busy Hill Road at Bandra West and intervened in an attempt to calm them down and sort out the fight. However, the situation took a turn for the worse when both the warring groups turned upon Madhuri, accusing her of interference in their private matter and even blamed her for starting the fight.

Fortunately for Madhuri, a patrolling Police Control Room (PCR) van was passing by and seeing the noise and commotion stopped by and the cops asked her what the ruckus was all about. Before she could utter a word, all the hawkers were gone in the blinking of an eye and Madhuri was free to proceed on her way.
