WRD Minister Filipe Nery, Michael Lobo and Milind Naik could be dropped in Goa Cabinet reshuffle next week?

PANAJI: With increasing pressure on Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to immediately sack Urban Development Minister Milind Naik, allegedly accused in a sex scandal and with the case likely to reach the courts by next week, a Cabinet reshuffle is very likely in the next few days, sources said. While former Saligao MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar, who quit the Goa Forward Party on Thursday, joined the BJP on Friday, Ponda Congress MLA Ravi Naik is expected to join the BJP either on Saturday or Sunday.

The duo are likely to be inducted into the Cabinet, while WRD and Fisheries Minister Filipe Nery Rodrigues, Michael Lobo and Milind Naik are likely to be dropped, say sources familiar with the developments backstage. READ HERE: Accused Minister’s thugs prevented survivor from filing complaint

While the Velim MLA Filipe Nery Rodrigues wants to contest the upcoming elections in February 2022 as an independent candidate, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo is being dropped for his outbursts against the party. And Mormugao MLA Milind Naik is being sacked for his alleged dalliance that earned him national media coverage over the last few days.
