Rains lash parts of Goa, temperatures to rise marginally from this weekend
PANAJI: Unseasonal rain lashed parts of North and South Goa on Monday evening. The rains continued into the night, sending temperatures dropping by a degree or so.
There were reports of rain from Aldona, Valpoi, capital city Panaji and many other parts of Goa. Some parts experienced heavy rain including Valpoi and Aldona.
Meanwhile, an increase in minimum temperatures by 0.5 degrees Celsius was recorded over Goa on Sunday, the weatherman said.
This trend is likely to prevail for the next two to three days following which there are chances of an increase in the minimum temperatures compared to the current value by two to three degrees Celsius.
The IMD has forecast a reduction in minimum temperatures from January 20 onward, dependent on the prevailing wind directions.
