MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco spends money from ‘own pocket’ to repair roads in Curtorim
Margao: After torrential rains lashed South Goa in the first and second week of July, roads within Curtorim constituency and nearby had developed several potholes, causing accidents and posing grave danger to motorists, particularly two-wheeler riders at night.
After the rains subsided, MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco took up the repairs of potholes and other related monsoon repair work in his constituency.
Without waiting for government funds, which take time, the MLA spend a substantial amount of money from his “own pocket” to repair all the potholes in his constituency.

After the work was done, Reginaldo posted photographs on his Twitter handle and labeled them as:
1) Bush cutting in Muxivado, Madel and Vetnem. 2) Pothole repairs at Axem, Virabhat and Eclate.
3) Seafarers function at Maina Church hall, gave covid kits to seafarers at a function and donated blood at the Panchayat Blood donation drive at #curtorim panchayat hall.

Reginaldo is very active in his constituency and attends his MLA office daily. Another major assignment that is a yearly feature is providing harvesting machines and tractors to residents of the locality, which indulges in community farming.
Repair and maintenance of the machines has already begun at workshops in the area, to keep them ship-shape for the upcoming harvest season.
