Goa: Siddhi Naik’s death – suicide due to drowning under influence of severe depression
PANAJI: Following the submission of a written complaint by Sandeep Naik – father of the deceased 19-year-old victim girl Siddhi Naik at the Calangute Police Station, the top brass in the Goa police had immediately swing into action and called a meeting of legal experts to discuss the future course of action.
The matter was once again referred to the Goa Medical College hospital with a request to set up a medical board to analyze the claims and counter claims made by the family.
While the expert medical panel of doctors set up by the Dean of the GMC, on the request of the Goa Police, to examine the circumstances of teenager Siddhi Naik’s death has once again stated that Siddhi Naik died due to drowning, the medical panel once again passed the buck back to the cops, asking them to investigate the ‘manner of death’ or circumstances under which the teenager drowned.
However, much analysis, investigation and deliberation by the police at senior levels and the GMC medical board, once again came to the conclusion that the unfortunate death was caused due to suicide by drowning, under the influence of severe depression.
