Goa Polls: BJP Youth Leader Gajanan Tilve, others to join Congress

MAPUSA: Goa BJP youth leader Gajanan Tilve and others who were spotted in the company of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar and Youth Congress President Varad Mardolkar are slated to join the party soon.

A reliable Congress source confirmed that Tilve along with several other youth leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), will be joining the Congress in the coming days.

More than 20 youth leaders from the BJP are expected to join the Congress, sources said, even as photographs of Tilve with Chodankar and Mardolkar at the coffee shop of a star hotel in Panaji  went viral on social media.

In addition to the youth leaders, a sitting BJP MLA from North Goa is expected to resign from his party and join the Congress before or during the Christmas week.

As usual, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) IT cell got it all wrong and started a smear campaign on social media, alleging that Chodankar was secretly hobnobbing with the BJP. (Goa Media Network)
