PANAJI: A recent video of a crowded restobar in North Goa, which is doing the rounds on social media has gone viral.

According to model and actress Sagarika Shona Suman who was in Goa recently, most restaurants, pubs, nightspots and restobars in the coastal state are not following Covid social distancing norms or other precautions, and are throwing caution to the winds.

The nightspots are over crowded and there is no social distancing or safety precautions being followed.

Sagarika Shona Suman took to Twitter to appeal to the Chief Minister of Goa to order the Goa Police to conduct an inquiry into the incident and inquire how the restaurant concerned in the video was over packed and no Covid norms were being followed.

“I visited about eight restaurants in North Goa over 3 days, and all of them were not following any Covid norms. We are expecting a third wave in Maharashtra and Goa in the next 45 days and in spite of the impending danger, several restaurants and nightspots in Goa are permitting people to overcrowd without following safety precautions, she complained.
