PANAJI: Social worker and Human Rights activist Shreha Dhargalkar met with Goa government Art & Culture Minister Govind Gaude and presented him with a recently published book.
According to a Facebook post by Dhargalkar, Shreha said she presented Gaude with the book “100 Inspiring Indians”, which features an article on her efforts during the Covid lockdown to help underprivileged people, particularly migrants and others who were stuck in the coastal state without food and other basic requirements.
She also discussed her nomination for the Padmashree Awards by a Delhi-based organisation and other aspects of her work.
Shreha praised Gaude on her Facebook post as being a very humble person who appreciates those who work on the ground. She also said Gaude guided her on her upcoming social work projects in the State.
Speaking on phone with this website later on from Panaji, the capital of Goa, Dhargalkar said Gaude has always been an inspiration to her and she holds him in very high esteem.
“Unlike some other MLAs, he is very down-to-earth and humble. He always encourages you to do better and be your own competition. His words are an inspiration to me and I thank him for his guidance and support,” Shreha said.
