Goa: Luizinho Faleiro denies meeting, speaking to Tirnamool Congress Party reps

PANAJI: Former Goa CM and Congress leader Luizinho Faleiro has denied meeting or even speaking to any Tirnamool Congress representatives or reps from Prashant Kishor’s election lobbying outfit.

It was reported earlier that senior Congress leader and former Goa CM Luizinho Faleiro has been offered a Rajya Sabha ticket by the Mamta Banerjee-headed Tirnamool Congress party (TMC).

Faleiro has denied all these claims outright, stating that he has not met or even spoken to anybody from the TMC.

It is learnt that the Tirnamool Congress party has approached several senior politicians in Goa including former Calangute MLA Agenlo Fernandes, Congress leader Joseph Sequiera, sitting MLA Francisco Silveira from St Andre, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo and many others.

Sources and local media reports had claimed, Faleiro demanded two Rajya Sabha tickets one for a businessman buddy from Goa.

He termed this as outlandish and incorrect and the figment of someone’s imagination.
