Dy CM Babu Kavlekar creating confusion, spreading rumours, threatening loyalists to destabilize Quepem Congress unit

QUEPEM, GOA: Former Congress Leader of the Opposition (LoP) and present BJP leader and Dy CM Chandrakant alias Babu Kavlekar is trying to destabilize the Quepem Congress unit, Quepem Block Congress President Avadoot Amonkar alleged.

He said that Congress is gearing up to defeat the BJP and all those who facilitated the corrupt, communal and insensitive BJP Government coming to power.

In a media note issued today, Amonkar said: “We have no place for “moles” in Congress Party,” and stated that there were no plans to induct Kavlekar’s aides into the party.

The Quepem Block Congress President dismissed all rumours and social media posts indicating or suggesting the induction of Arjun Velip, a close aide of Chandrakant alias Babu Kavlekar into the Congress Party.

He said Kavlekar is trying very hard to induct spies and moles into the party and Quepem Block to create confusion and sabotage the chances of the Congress in Quepem.

Kavlekar’s goons are threatening Congress party loyalists not to work for the Quepem Block and both money and threats of physical harm are being used by the Kavlekar camp to dissuade Congress voters, he asserted.

“Quepem Block Congress is working tirelessly to win over the confidence and trust of the people. BJP and its partners are completely shaken, seeing the huge response Congress is getting from the people. The dirty tricks department of the BJP and its allies are now spreading lies to mislead the people,” Avadoot Amonkar said.

He said the Quepem Congress Block stands strong and “we will live up to the expectations of the people.
